March 2008 Announced gig at the Kelvedon Free Music Festival on July 12th. New songs being developed for a possible new album this year and planning a video! Watch this space!!

April 18, 2007 The first reviews on the new album are just in! Check out the Reviews page. The launch gig will be at the Kelvedon Labour Club on June 9th, 2007 where the band will be playing two 1hr sets consisting of songs from "Circuit Breaker", selected tracks from "Switch" and a couple of surprise covers. More details on the gig to follow.
January 12, 2007 The new album is finally finished and available to purchase! It was a long time coming but the band are all very happy with the end result and hope you all like it too! Look out for live appearances in 2007 where the band will be performing most of the new material.

The new album, entitled "circuit breaker", is now mixed and ready for high-end mastering and duplication! We are in the process of planning the launch gig, so keep an eye on this page for news or sign-up for our newsletter.
April 7, 2006 It's been a long time coming but we have finally got around to doing a web update! The band have been working hard to complete the new album and it's almost there! A total of 12 stonking new songs have been written and recorded and the band are about to enter the post-production phase with a view to releasing in summer 2006. The band have been confirmed for this year's Riverside Music Festival on July 1st, 2006 (see Gig page.)

June 7, 2005 The new songs (Some Other World, Bankrupt Heart and Danger Zone) all went down a storm at the recent gig at The Wheatsheaf! The band are making good progress with the new album but a release date is yet to be set (mainly due to scheduling studio time.) The band have been confirmed for this year's Kelvedon Music Festival on July 9th (see Gig page.)
April 2nd, 2005 The band are progressing with writing and recording new tracks for the forthcoming album and will be debuting some of the new songs at the forthcoming appearance at The Wheatsheaf (see Gig page.)
February 3, 2005 Added review from February 2005 issue of Powerplay magazine.
January 25, 2005 The band have been back to Soundmagic Studios to kick off the pre-production phase in creating their next album. As yet untitled, the band are hoping the album will follow on the success of "Switch" and are hoping to launch at the next Kelvedon Music Festival on July 9th, 2005.
Finishing touches are being applied to the band's first DVD of live performances from Kelvedon and White Notley.
And how about this.....the intro to "Cash" was chosen to provide the introduction music to a Royal Bank Of Scotland corporate event in January!

June 7, 2003 The new album is finally finished! This is our first album to be mastered and it's a big sound! You can order your copy from the Switch page or come to the launch gig at the Kelvedon Music Festival on June 21st (more details below)!
March 29, 2003 Well, it's been hectic in Relay world over the past few months! The band have been asked to perform at the Kelvedon Music Festival on June 21st, 2003 and it will be their first live gig with Alison (and the first in ten years!). On drums, the band have enlisted the help of drum-meister Paul Docherty from the Donkeys who also appears on the band's long-awaited fourth album of new original songs "Switch" which will be launched at the gig. The band would love to see you all there! Please click here for a map! We are scheduled to be on-stage at 3:45pm for around 45 minutes.
The band have finished all the recording of "Switch", including Paul on drums, and are now in the process of mixing. The album should be in for mastering/duplication by mid-May ready for a June launch. Pheew!!
January 28, 2003 The new album will be called "Switch" and around 90% of the recording is complete. Next step will be to prepare the material for mixing/mastering.

After months of searching, the band have finally found their new vocalist! Steve first heard Alison sing when she came into Soundmagic Studio to sing on her friend's project and was impressed by Alison's versatility, power and control. After a tryout on some of the band's new material, Alison was recruited. The band are now hard at work on their as yet untitled fourth album of original work.

Auditions for Coz's replacement are on-going and the band are hoping to have the new vocalist on-board and recording by mid-April 2002.

Just a quick update on progress, we are still in the process of recording our fourth album of original material, planned release date is now end-March 2002.

With Chris departing the UK to pursue a singing career in Lanzarote back in May 2001, Bob and Steve have been looking for a new vocalist. The search has finally come to an end with the recruitment of Corrie Tyler, an up and coming vocalist with a style that fits the band's sound perfectly. Coz joining the lineup sees the return of the band being fronted by a female vocalist. For more info check out the Biographies.
The band are currently working on their fourth album of original material. Tentative release of the as-yet untitled work is end-December 2001 (fingers crossed !)
